We have always had to pay a fee to PriceWaterHouseCooper for doing our taxes. Maybe it has changed this year. Things do change.

Hi Everyone,
I am a new Canadian Hire, currently accepted Family Status, but I do not want to sever ties with Canada, as I have a university going dependent, house, parents etc. But that would cause me to be liable for Canadian taxes of almost 47%. I read on this forum that for Married Single (Bachelor) status, Aramco pays the Canadian taxes. How trues is this? I spoke with my US HR and she was not aware of any such thing.
Also if I ask them to change me to single status now, is that advisable over changing it when in KSA? My younger one wants to finish his French middle school in Canada before joining me in KSA.
Any guidance on these 2 issues will be most appreciated.

I highly doubt it is going to be 47% on your entire earning. I assume it must be considered international income regardless of your ties with Canada.

Canuckpm, I will leave behind my university dependent, our house will be rented through a property management company, and the advice I received it was to not give your child the same amount of money every month and to make different deposit amounts on different days of the month, this is considered gifting and do not represent dependency.
In regards of Aramco paying your taxes while your family is still back home, I understood that they will reimburse for the short period after you depart until your family moves in with you (maximum 90 days without losing your family status), someone to please confirm.
Good luck.
