My husband is in the hiring process, waiting for his visa le. We were told last week that he passed his medical and background investigation, but unfortunately I did not pass medical. We have been told that I will be able to get a visa for six months at a time, and he could take his leave during the other six months to come back to the US each year. We are wondering if it possible to have the medical re-evaluated at some point and passed so we could be together permanently. We have never been separated and have been married for 36 years, so this will no doubt be difficult. I'm sure there are others who have experienced similar situations and wonder how this can be worked out to make the most of the situation.

I am sorry to hear of your not passing the medical.
Yes, your husband would need to keep asking his manager for help getting an exception to the policy, so you could come and stay.
There are those who take the job on bachelor status, then move the family to Bahrain. The husband has a bachelor place in KSA where you can come visit, but he could also go commute every day from Bahrain if he wanted to. A possible option.
