Hi,
I have gotten rules for shipping personal effects and household goods to KSA from the INSTRUCTION - All foodstuffs are not accepted or prohibited in surface shipment provided by company, right?
How about in air checked luggage? I want to take some my favorite snacks (beef y, salty vegetable, soy cheese), condiment (kinds of spices, soy source, vinegar), noodle, and cereal. All are sealed with plastic bags or bottled. No pork, no alcohol, no fresh. Is it okay?
Thanks your information!

Checked luggage is generally okay and it is permissible to ship non-perishable foods, depending on the shipper. The only thing to watch is banned quanies, particularly anything containing alcohol or pork; most things are acceptable to ship, but be aware that many meat products are banned shipping across international borders.
The best approach is to check with the air carrier and the Saudi customs site first. If the items are not banned, then you should be okay. Be sure to read the fine print at all times!

We always bring food back in our checked luggage. It's never been a problem. The only restriction I know of is you're not supposed to have any liquids more than 16 oz per bottle/container in your checked luggage...that would include food, drinks, and soaps, etc.

We also bring in non perishable food items in our checked luggage every trip.
