I've seen many threads about sweet water being available in compounds. I understand that it is potable, but how is the water, really? Is there a taste to it? Should I bring a reverse osmosisi under-counter filter for drinking water?
Do refrigerators have ice makers with sweet water?
I don't want to have to deal with Brita pitchers- if there is an issue, I'd rather istall a filter.
Thanks.

The sweet water in all the homes is just like city water in the U.S. if you are used to drinking tap water, the water doesn't have any strong taste. Some people say it has a taste. We drink it all the time, no real taste. If you want filtered water, you will need to bring a filter. Some people buy the big 5 gallon water bottles from the commissary. They have water dispensers they have brought in or bought here.
There are no ice makers or water dispensers on Aramco refrigerators.

I would highly recommend getting a reverse osmosis system so the Fluoride will be removed. I'm planning to buy a system soon. All the bottled water (except for very expensive imported water) has fluoride in it.
