If someone gets a job and family status is granted, is the spouse and child allowed to travel with the employee or do they have to wait until the probation period is over? Or is this different depending on each situation?

It is different. Not sure exactly what criteria Aramco uses, but some have to come and apply for family visas after arrival; some have to complete their 90 day probationary period and then apply for family's visas; some can bring their families with them. Guessing it is related to GC and nationality. Someone posted their country wouldn't allow the family to go until after the employee had arrived in KSA. Different governments' red tape.
