o all, I have been reading all the topics from this forum since I got a positive interview wirh Aramco 3 weeks ago. Since I know it takes some time before I got an offer I have been doing some search and got some questions that I have not seen being asked in the FAQ or partially answered in some parts of this forum:
1. Step Son: is there any problem with the visa for my step son? he lives with us and should we face any troubles with his visa, that would be a deal breaker.
2. Probation period: is the probation period something mandatory? can I move my family with me ? or I have to spend 3 months by myself before they can come?
3. For Reservoir Engineers fellows, do you recommend any paper or publication that I can learn about the fields of the northern area? I was told that is the area I will be working, if just can PM me with the name of the fields I maybe could have some info, it is just to have an idea of the fields and start to think about ideas to bring with me.
4. I will be assigned to live in Rakkah, I know this is a kind of new community, but comparing with the main community of Dhahram, for kids of 1.5, 3 and 11 is there much to do in Rakkah? Can I enroll my kids for activities in Dhahram?
5. Commute to work is aprox 30 min from Rakkah to Dhahram, one way. Is that time considered as part of the working time?
6. Any insights with respect to ladies activities and how you ladies feel living in KSA? my wife will appreciate it
7. I will be Canadian Payroll - although I was mentioned about a global payroll to be launched early Nov-2013- but how does this hypo tax works? When I receive the offer that will be the net income after the hypo tax or I will see the hypo tax being discounted from my salary?
I have a lot more, obviously I am just starting this process, I hope everythings works out well for me and my family.
