Hi,
I'm hoping someone can help me with a slight dilemma. I have an offer and just received my visa as well (after a very lengthy time) and am planning on departing in about a month or so. However, I have just seen a very interesting job posting on the Aramco website and am very interested in pursuing it (new job posted maybe a month or two ago).
Don't get me wrong...the job offer I currently have is very good and fits well within my interests and affords new skills to be learnt and challenges...but the new job posting is slightly more interesting/challenging and fits completely within my interests and future career aspirations. It would be my dream job (based on the job description anyway).
Any advice on how to proceed? Should I contact my recruiter and express my interest? If I do, is there a risk that they perceive that I'm not interested in my current offer and withdraw the visa and the offer? Alternatively, should I start work, hopefully pass the 3 month probation and then broach the subject with my current supervisor?
Thanks in advance for your advice. Happy Eid break! SC

Hi, I have a similar situation. I am from India. I have an offer from Sabic/safco, Jubail. My visa is in process. But I am also in the process of getting an offer from Aramco- Refinery & fractionation division. Now I am interested for Aramco.
My question is if my visa stamped, then is it possible to cancel the visa and apply for Aramco visa. Also , let me know, if I cancel the first visa, is there a chance of blacklisted to Enter Saudi Arabia.
Expecting some clue from experienced personnel.
Bye

ok so I didn't get any responses to the above post. Many reads but no responses... So I'm thinking I'll just do the diligent and responsible thing and start my job and see how it all works out. I guess I'll get a better feel for my current position and if there is opportunity to move up or around (like in other normal jobs in North America, especially within the same company) but based on what I'm reading on this forum, I shouldn't hold my breath. If my current offered position is any measuring stick, (it has been posted for like 2 years now! mind you, there may be multiple positions) then I should still have an opportunity to at least consider the new job posting after some unknown time upon passing probation and checking out the internal JOB postings (which seem to exist...and for what purpose if we can't apply as current employees?). Anyway, thanks to everyone who read the post . If you still had any input, please feel free to PM me or just post here.

Your question on the change is new to me, so no answer.
The question on getting a visa with one company and then wanting to change companies before or after your visa stamp- again is new to me. I do not have an answer for you.
Sorry, not much help to the two of you.
I can tell you, you can change jobs/departments, but it requires an agreement from your supervisor. Some won't give their approval, others will.
