i am bit confused about this cash-in-lieu or shipping option. I remember the HR person told me that i can use half of allowed shipping allowance and take cash for the unused amount. Now my reloc advisor is telling me its either one of them...

any idea ?
also does anyone know if new hire changes apply to canadian payroll employee ?

As far as we know, we are doing half and half (so, the shipping allotment for one person and some amount of cash instead of the other person's shipping allotment), so hopefully the cash part will come one day. A shipping company came and put a lot of our stuff in stoe for later shipment to KSA. We had to move anyway, so we started the process before the approval of our visas.
