My recruiter has just informed me of new policy changes at Aramco that will impact people in the hiring process. (I am on UK Sterling payroll) In summary:
New benefits: 1. Property management/Home Sale assistance, I believe this is similar to the one currently on offer to US hires
2. Loss of Sale of private motor (car/bike)
3. New air freight Shipment option
Discontinued Benefit:
1. Reimbursement of excess baggage
Anyone else got this updates?
Cheers, Kimo

Hi Kimo,
Thank you for the information. It will be a great help for me if I get reimbursement for the loss of sale of my Vehicle. Since the time will be too short to get it sold. Are these changes effective from now, or this month. Are these changes been updated in the Relocation guide/booklet we get from the relocation advisor.
Please some one clarify more on these changes.
Thank you all for helping us who are in the process of relocation to Saudi Arabia.

Hmmmmm!
I wonder whether the loss of sale of vehicle applies to US payroll as I will be selling mine to CarMax or Direct Auto.

Hi Kimo,
Can you please also send the info to me? I called my relocation representative to ask about the policy change but could not get hold of her.
Thanks,

I suspect this is in relation to the move to a Global Payroll scheme. Supposedly going to be announced in November.

Hi Cuttlefish,
I asked my RA for clarification on any such policy, I was told that so far there is no confirmation of such policy. If any one has more info I will appreciate if they let us know.

I am going to be on USA payroll. My relocation coordinator did bring up the benefit for loss of sale on an automobile. The policy is rather vague, but it does say the sale needs to be to an "agent" and not a private party. However, I am not sure how the loss is calculated. My RC seemed to think it was just a lump sum payment if you could prove you sold a car, but she is not sure. Does anybody have better information? It would be really helpful to find someone who has actually used this policy.

Hi fourier2020,
Please share the information if you happen to know more about this policy. I hope it is applicable to Canadian payroll as well. Thank you.

The policy on loss when selling a car is new if it exists. I know they have a policy for selling your house, first I have heard of help re: selling your car.

In the London orientation we were told its lower of 50% of base or $5000 and sale has to be to a licensed dealer. There is a new shipment policy too where excess baggage goes and is replaced by a combination of ebox airfreight (2 boxes per adult and 1 per child) plus sea, when opted for shipment. If cash in lieu opted then no excess baggage allowed. Both new policies effective 01 nov.

Thank you for that update. Would be good to know if it is across the board or a UK policy.

Does anyone has any documentation outlining the new policies?
