o all,
We expect to relocate to Abqaiq half November. One thing we were looking for and which we didn't find on the forum yet: in how far is there a system fot online shopping and home delivery for electronics, furniture and all these other items we got so used to ordering online back home?
Thanks,
Marcel

I would also like an answer to this question. Coming out on bachelor status, and I don't intend shipping major items, so will be looking to make my place my own by shopping once I get there... If I can get it delivered I'll be a very happy bunny!

You can use Aramex for shipping. It's safe and reliable.
What we usually do though is have everything sent to my mom's house in the USA, and then she repacks everything and adds in all the gifts and clothes she's bought for the kids, and then she sends via US postal service. The past couple of times we've gotten the box in 1 week! It used to take up to 2 weeks. The negative of using the USPS is they don't track packages to Saudi Arabia, so there's a little more risk than if you use Aramex or FedEx or DHL, etc. but, the cost is lower with USPS.

I suspect the original questions is about online shopping for items in Saudi Arabia and not the normal Online shopping (i.e. ordering stuff from Amazon and getting it delivered via Aramex or DHL etc).
I have not heard of such services (maybe because I didn't bother to try). But as far as delivery is concerned, once you buy big tickets item, most stores will be able to arrange a delivery for the items (i.e IKEA for furnitures and Extra for Electrical appliances such as TVs, Fridge, Washing Machines/Dryer etc).

Thank you for your responses. Indeed, I intended to ask about home delivery in KSA, thinking that our initial movement will be a bit limited until we have iqama, drivers license and car arranged, but probably in need of some items. Online shopping would be a convenience.
