We have been informed on friday that finally they have our visa le. We are very exited and looking into airline options. Is there any specific airline we need to travel or can we choose on our own. We will be travelling from Houston by the end of this month.

The best advice is to choose an airline by your future travel requirements, unless you are already a member of an airline with status. Connections were are excellent with Qatar and Emirates, but all airlines are accessible here; for Houston, Qatar and Emirates are good because they from direct from Doha or Abu Dhabi with good connections from either Dammam or Bahrain. The other airlines you will be having a stop in Europe, but those destinations are direct from Dammam or Bahrain. Saudi Airlines (aka Saudia) is also an option from some cities but my experience with them is very limited.

We usually fly Saudi Airlines, economy class. We fly direct from Riyadh to Washington DC, then book a separate domestic flight to Kansas City. For us, it's cheapest that way and the travel time is shorter. We leave from Riyadh because we have family there, so flying from Dammam, you would stop in Riyadh or Jeddah before going to the US.
My friends who have used Qatar, Emirates, and Etihad all have recommended them.

From Houston, we have traveled on KLM, BA and Lufthansia. All are good in business class. You can let your relocation agent know which one you want to fly, or they will get tickets for you.
