Got an interview and was surprised that the interview was interviewing me for different position then what I was short listed for....I end up asking the interviewer if I am being interviewed for that specific position and he said NO it is for other....long story short... i never found what was I interviewed for ..... it was a mess and was very very unorganized ... the interviewer was not at all prepared and was randomly scanning my resume and was throwing keywords from it and would interrupt me with another question when I would start answering anything .... very disappointing experience with ARAMCO.....I wonder if anyone else had same experience....

o...very sorry to hear about your interview experience. This can be very frustrating. This alomost happened to me and I know because I have a friend who is in the same department as I interviewed for and he informed me that they were going to interview me for a position other than my expectations. However, they got it sorted and my interview experience was positive as it is for most candidates. If you have not totally written off Aramco because of the experience you had and are still interested, I would advise that you get in touch with your recruiter and explain what happened (if you have not already done so).
Best of luck and I hope things work out as per your expectations.

Ha ha ha Same for me. I applied for a specific job and they called to interview me for that job. During the end of the interview the 2 interviewer from technical domain asked themselves is this interview for another job Then the asked me would you mind to work for that job which is different than what I applied for I said yes as I prefer it in fact. Then after a month or two they offered me another third job. Very funny but I don't care as soon as the job is within my area of expertise.

My experience was odd also. It went like this:
I went through multiple interviews for a particular position, first with colleagues, next with the manager, then with the director. After the third interview, I was contacted by a staffing consultant in Houston. She told me that the interviews were "very positive" and that they were preparing an offer. As I was waiting for the offer, I received another request for an interview, this time from a separate but related group. When I contacted the staffing consultant, she stated that the offer had been initiated already, but that she would inquire about the discrepancy. A couple days later, I got a message that there were multiple positions available, and that this new group wanted to interview me also. The result- an official offer from the second group, for a position that I was equally qualified for.
The jobs had similar requirements, but the actual offer came from the group that felt I was a better fit for. I don't know if the jobs are at the same GC level, but I am excited nonetheless.
It is certainly a strange hiring process. Patience is the most important trait to levee. For me, this has been very difficult. But having finally received an offer, it is worth the wait.
