Hi all. I have been told at my contract that I will be provided with a service order vehicle. Do you know how it works? The job is gr14 project (engineer1). Do I still need to take enough money to buy a car? or I will be able to have minimum use of this car when not at work such as trip to supermarket?

Yes, you need to buy your own car. You are not supposed to use the company car for personal use. You will definitely get in trouble if you drive your family in an Aramco vehicle. Also, some of the Aramco vehicles can only be used during working hours...like the security wouldn't let you leave the compound in one of those cars if it were after 4 pm.
The only personal use that I commonly see is people stopping by the Aramco commissary (or clinic, etc.), but to take the vehicle to go shopping outside the compound is unacceptable, and you could be reported for doing that.

Thank you Umm. I wonder why they said, by providing service order vehicle, they will deduct 400sr if I am driving it for some personal trips.

Based on your earlier posts syed100, where you said your contract is with Al Hoty, the rules for Saudi Aramco vehicles will not apply to you and will be whatever your company (Al Hoty) decides.
