Hi folks,
Ill be arriving in Ras Tanura in December and Im going to be housed in the studio apartment (1bedroom). I'd like to see the floor plan of the apartment housing there and maybe some pics of the outside and inside of the apartment.
It would be great if you can also share some pics of the furniture that Aramco will provide in the apartment.
Will they provide twin bed part of the furniture or a queen bed. I plan to bring my own covers and sheet and need to know the size of bed that they provide.
I would appreciate any info you may have.
Thanks.

vpainter...would you mind sending me the information about bachelor housing as well. My husband will be going to Ras Tanura in December on bachelor status and we are trying to plan what to send. He will be in the executive bachelor housing. Thanks so much for your help.

Hi All, I'm due to arrive in Saudi on 31st of December. I was called on 26th of Dec by AOC to say my initial house allocation has been changed from ABQ to RT due to lack of accommodation and influx of employees and I have say but to comply so to speak. I would like to know if I can push back against this? If this is not an option and I have to settle in RT, I'd like a picture and plan of the studio flat they seem to refer to as a house . I'm informed that, though RT is a beautiful place to live it does have a smell due to the near by refinery. I'd like to know how bad and often the smell is (on a scale of 1-10) and how bearable this smell is and most importantly is it's save since I'm expecting my young family to join me in July. This is an urgent request!! Regards TheElicitor

Since you have arrived already, perhaps you can write about RT and the smell as a newcomer.
The smell in RT has been addressed on this forum by RT residents and a search can show those posts.
Welcome to Aramco.

I have been here for a week and love it. The commute is long which makes for a total day of 12 hrs. Accommodations are a little small if you came in with too much stuff in the temporary bachelor pads. But they just started cleaning our rooms everyday so it is kind of like being in a hotel. Just went to the gym and walked by the ocean path this morning with a friend I made here a week ago. I think being near the ocean is an RT highlight. As for the smell hardly notice it. Once in a while it is evident but depends on how sensitive you are to that I suppose.
First week is hectic but things settle down as you get comfortable with the surroundings, bus schedule etc. Plus the weather now is perfect to walk around and get things done.
