Am looking for advice regarding which bank has the best branch and ATM network / accessibility in the city of Dhahran, near Aramco and in Rakkah as well. Is it one of the global banks like Citi, Chase, Bank of America, HSBC, or a local bank? We have accounts with Bank of America here but wondering if we should get one of the other global banks also if they have a good network in / near Dhahran. If its a local bank which has the best reach, please let us know their name also.
We could be there as early as end of this week...

We also have BOA. And we have a local account in the NCB bank on DHA camp, we only deposit small amounts in the local bank on camp. You can chose to have a direct deposit into your BOA account and a local bank here. If you bring checks you are able to write checks at the NCB bank on camp. You can write up to $2000USD per week, given to you in Saudi Riyals.
You can also use your ATM card in any of the ATM's here, but we don't particularly like paying the international fees. Online banking works well for all the needs back home.

Thanks vpainter...thats very helpful...we are bringing checkbooks for B of A so hopefully that would be helpful. We can then open the NCB account. Not sure if they have an ATM in Rakkah though.
