Has anyone brought over tools in the checked baggage? Tools such as power drill, screw drivers, hammer.

I am taking the cash in lieu option and want to bring some of my tools with me.

Has anyone done that? And if so, run into any problems?

The TSA website states that these items can be packed in the checked luggage but I was wondering if anyone has actually done it.
