Hi All, When will the medical take place? No one has told me anything about. I am still in UK following my offer as a contractor 2 weeks ago - background check etc are still take place. Not been told abt medical yet. Anyone knows? Also will I be going to KSA and start the job prior to background clearence. Thanks in advance for your answers. Best regards...

The medicals with a contractor company may not be the same as Aramco. With Aramco medicals are done after you accept the offer and many times when you go for orientation - at least when in the U.S.

I too had my interview and offer of employment over two weeks ago, and attended medicals in London the following week. I'm just awaiting for visa processing, once my contract arrives this coming week, visa processing should only take 5/7 days (so I've been informed).

Thanks spudulike. Were you recruited as a contractor? I wonder why my medical hasnt taken place yet? Someone did call me on the other day to find which is the nearest airport for me.

Yes I'm being recruited as a contractor...my recruiter organised medicals in London the week after interviews, might be worth dropping your recruited a email to ask about medicals/xrays etc

Once again, thank you. my agency is al-hoty. is it same for you or sraco etc.? There were 6/7 agencies present on the day, I know agencies do things differently. Best wishes...

Hi All, if anyone can answer. I have 2 questions-
1. I had medical last week. They took my passport and my certificates. They said that they would now apply for my visa. I havent heard about my background check or from the people who are doing it, or is it already done?
2. How does the holiday work? everywhere it says, 14 days after 4, 8, 12 months. Is that how it works with you (who are already there)?

I didn't hear anything regarding my background investigation (BI) nor did any of my previous employers, so I'm presuming, unless they find something unusual, you won't have to provide further info. 2. Refer to your contract of employment, if still in the dark ask the questions of your recruiter or HR department...I suppose every contract, and therefore leave periods, will be different.
