I would appreciate for shedding some light on first few days in Kingdom,
Does the official first day of employment start with the orientation at Dhahran compound?
and
Will you have to go for orientation very next day after 20-25 hours travel, depending on from where you come from?

My understanding is that it is the day you actually get on the airplane to mobilize..

I understand that it is the day you fly, and my orientation is not until the Thursday after I arrive late on the Tuesday  |

Not necessarily, orientation can be anything from one to several days after you arrive.

Hire date is the day you leave your home country to travel directly to Saudi Arabia. The day after arrival is a rest day.
