I have an interview with YASREF. Looking on google, it is a JV between ARAMCO and SINOPEC. Site is located in Yanbu. I did not find any article on YASREF employment here.
Is there any one have knowledge or family members/friends working at YASREF and give general idea of living in YANBU and also salary comparison to ARAMCO?
Any information will be welcome and appreciated.

You can do a search on the forum for "Yanbu" and read about Yanbu, although the JV company may not be listed.

I had an interview with yasref team here in dubai. Now i am confued on 1 thing. After the interview i saw my interview review form (by chance :-D ) it had everyhting as acceptable, but at the top there was this note: selected backup-p1 .... i have also been offered a job. when i asked the HR person what is the meaning of Backup p1, he told you are selected as backup on preference 1 .... if person they hired doesnt show up or has problems in recruitment process then i will be selected. but my recruiter said No this is not true and i have been selected and that is the very reason i was offered job offer, otherwise they would not offer if its backup thing story(which i have aslo signed just for info).
so i am confused now... can anybody help me as what is the meaning of all this?

i also got offer as backup candidate on 16 january ...
but still i m waiting for response from yasref of recruiter !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Canuckboy, YASREF is still under construction although I believe the commissioning plan is to start certain units in Q3 this year. They should provide you with an offer - there are quite a few ex-Aramcon's working there already, although mainly from the local population. I'm sure the offer will be similar to Aramco but no idea of actual comparison. People in Aramco have such a wide range of salaries. Like other people on this site, you'll need to decide if its good enough. I hear that YASREF are building their own compound here. Right now, there are a couple of compounds here (Arabian Home & The Cove) but there is no Aramco compound. Aramco housing for families and singles is within the Royal Commission. As vpainter said, there are other postings on the subject of Yanbu living. YASREF were advertising jobs on the website below but they have been removed - not sure if it's down to delayed commissioning or that most of the posts are potentially filled. They are still accepting CVs though and I hear that they are still looking for people yasref.bayt.com/Good luck |
