o, We are in the process of BI and Medical. We will be moving to RT where I will work as an engineer in Ju'aymah gas plant. I have a couple of questions and will appreciate if anyone could help:
(1) How far (by bus) is Ju'aymah gas plant from Najmah camp, RT?
(2) My wife is a medical doctor and currently writing her ECFMG (USMLE) exams. Before our prospective move, I hope she will complete all her exams and will be ECFMG certified doctor. But obviously, she may not be able to apply residency in US since we will move before that. So what are her options to work in RT? I heard there is a clinic there on the camp. Can she work there as a Physician's Assistant or Medical Resident Trainee?
(3) Does she need special visa to work there or on her visa she may work under the category of casual worker?
(4) If full time regular employment is not possible for her then are there paid or unpaid volunteer work possibilities in RT Clinic?
Any help is appreciated.
Thank you and kind regards,
Newfie72

Vpainter, I would like the same information. I would appreciate it if you could send me the details as well.. Except I was wondering if there were opportunities in dhahran and not RT as the original post. Thanks.

Hi.. I did get an email but it was just general info about work for spouse like once you reach there you need to go to HR, etc.. Nothing specific.. If you get more info, I would appreciate it if you share with me. Thanks.

Hi! Newfie72, Doll, divenpuff,
The information you are requesting about work for spouses, there is not an answer. No one can tell you a spouse will be able to get a job. There are more opportunities in DHA than the other camps. But even in DHA it can take time.
With the John Hopkins Joint Venture starting in January, there is no way to know if your wife would be able to work in the clinic. Yes, there is a staffed medical clinic in RT. I know the hospital in DHA has volunteers, I do not know if the medical clinics in the other compounds have volunteers.
I do not know anything about the gas plant.

Newfie, As far as potential job for your spouse, I know ARAMCO had asked for an ECFMG certificate, completion of US residency program, specialty board certification among other things. I have not seen any physician assistants or medical resident trainees at the Dhahran clinic yet but again would require certification/license in this field.
