no response so far.
All I want to know what are the grades so I can decide if I want to apply or not. I think Aramco has grades like GC-10, 11 etc.
Thanks in adavance !!

Aramco's GC's cannot be compared to any other companies GC's. There is a GC assigned to every job le. Whatever job you apply for, that is the GC you will receive.
GC 10 and under is single status
GC 11+ is eligible for family status

Aramco salary grade are basically similar across most business lines
GC11 - GC14 in terms of seniority goes like this
Fresh Grads - will be coming in at GC11 (IT ysts IV), this is usually the grade levels for the local fresh grads (I know of some expats from KAUST also coming in with this grade levels), there have also been young expats taken in with 2-3 years experience at this grade levels.
5-10 years experience - Most likely will be given GC12 (IT yst III), if you have this experience level, expect to get this type of grade code ... there have been cases where Aramco has given GC13 for those with 9-10 years experience .... so it depends on your luck and also the availability of positions (maybe they have a GC13 position available etcc)
10-15 years experience - Expect GC13 (IT yst II), again, it depends on your luck, some with 10-12 years experience may be getting GC12, and some with 14-15 years experience maybe getting GC14
15-20 years experience - Expect GC14 (IT yst I) ... same as above, some people have received GC15 based on their experience as well
20-25 years experience - Expect GC15 (IT Specialist)
This is all general guidelines. Don't take this as the rule. I know some people who comes in with 14 years experience but getting a GC15 (specialist) and this is most likely due to the fact that his existing salary is way above any other salary band and the only way Aramco can be compeive is to offer them a higher grade code vs. their experience levels.
Hope that helps

here is my concern
I am planning to apply beacuse I want to get better salary.
Now I have seen from few threads that they ask you for your last pay slip and decide your salary accordingly.
what if I want to change my job for minimum 30-40 % raise as I feel that I am not on market rate and being paid less money.

When you receive your offer, just factor in all the benefits of working overseas. You really make what your take home pay is. Will your take home pay with Aramco be more than you take home presently? That is where you will know if you are getting a raise.

I agree but the only concern I have that when you provide your last pay slip then you are putting a limit on yourself. You loose your ground to negotiate. They may give you 5 % increase and say look you are in benefit. In my current job, I did not negotiate at all as I was wishing to work for a multinational. whereas my team mate put some extra amount on his salary and later also negotiate. I was of the concenr that I want to avail the opportunity at every cost and whereas my team mate was wishing but alsoi negotiate and taken risk. I think I am putting question and also answering at the same time but really disappointed that everythung turns around in the end as per your last pay slip ( or I can find a part time job prior to submitting my last pay slip and hand over 2 pay slips to reflect better salary will that work Thanks for feedback !!

You will more than likely get the exact salary you are getting now. You can attempt to not produce your paystubs but that is an Aramco standard that everyone is expected to do. If you do not like your offer, then negotiate for what you want. You may get it, you may not..

It seems to me that most expats will save a lot of money by not having to pay taxes in Saudi (yes, you may owe some to your home country, but not as much as you would pay while living there), and by having free medical care and prescriptions for you and your dependents (yes, many expats buy a supplemental insurance for when they are out of Saudi, but it's my understanding that the cost is pretty low, especially compared to what you would pay for full covee insurance). On top of that, you get other benefits, like lower cost of living compared to Western countries, repat allowance, the schools are great plus allowance to send your kids to boarding school if you choose to, etc. etc. etc. I am honestly not sure of all the expat benefits since we're on the Saudi payroll, but even being on the Saudi payroll that pays less, I feel we're better off living here in Saudi financially than we would be living in my country (USA). We live comfortably on one salary and we are able to save money and travel.

This only applies to the US Payroll obviously. For Sterling/Euro etc, there is no retirement or SRIP package.

Wonder, are you coming on US payroll?

30% - 40% raise for an IT job! From what I have seen lately, only those in operations and drilling can get that much salary increases because they are in hot demand in a core function. IT is a support function and many companies are outsourcing IT to India and that is why salaries in IT in general are mediocre.
