I will be arriving in 5 days..Dhahran.
I just asked my relocation guy where I would be living and his response was:
"It is your choice. We can't decide that for you."
I had hoped he would have at least given me a list of my options so that I can do a bit of research here before I arrive.
So my questions are as follows:
1. What are the camps in Dhahran? 2. Are any better for families? I have a wife and 2 year old son. 3. Can any be ruled out due to prohibiting women or being full?
Thanks in advance for your responses.

Are you a direct hire with Aramco? Or with a contractor?
With Aramco, you do not get a choice of where you live, it is assigned. With a contractor, you would have a choice.
If with a contractor, I will send you an email with compound choices.
With Aramco, you will be taken to your assigned house, but the compound would have been listed on your offer and you would know where you will be living.
I do not know how the contract company will take care of you on arrival.
There are not camps in Dhahran, Dhahran is the camp. There is an area outside the Dhahran camp that is called Dhahran, but I do not know the names of compounds there. Would not know about their rules or if they are full.
