Welcome to Saudi Aramco. If you'll be here for the start of school, you can buy bagged elementary school supply kits by grade at the commissary. As you can see on the list below, the school is picky about brands. The bagged kits remove the mystery and hassle of finding these specific items. You'll send the supplies to school with your child on the first day, and the teacher will distribute as needed during the year.
Your child will also need a decent backpack, strong and large enough to accommodate legal size plastic folders that the teacher will send home. You'll also need an insulated lunch bag or box for morning snack. Also, water bottles if you don't want to use disposable.
You'll also want to keep some items at home for homework. These are separate from the kits that go to school. They can be whatever brand you want.
GRADE 1 2 boxes Crayola or Prang skinny crayons (24 count) 1 box Mr. Sketch watercolor markers (12 count) 1 box Fiddle Stick or Bipunta brand thin markers 2 boxes Faber-Castell colored pencils (24 count) flat tip 1 (3-4 pack) 3”X3” post it notes 2 fine point Sharpie pens (not ultra fine) 4 large UHU glue sticks 3 Faber-Castell brand erasers 1- 12” clear ruler (cm/in) 2 pkg. Boardmark #J04 dry erase markers (4 count) Expo Brand only 1 Fiskar brand children’s scissors- round tips 3 boxes or 24 each Berol or Faber-Castell No. 2 pencils (24 count)
