I am a new hire and have been told that we will be housed in a new Dharan Compound which is 15 minutes from the main camp. I am interested to have additional information about this compound and whether my wife would be able drive inside this compound.

Yes your wife can drive inside Rakkah, the new Local Dhahran Compound.
