I have been approached about the possibility of coming out to Aramco and am doing my homework like any good person would. I have however got a few questions that I would be interested in finding out firsthand answers to.....
i would plan to travel out with my partner and 2 year old child, what groups and activities are there for them?
Are there any course that women are allowed to do?
What sort of speed is the internet out there?
What have people done with their own properties back in the uk? Sold them? Rented them out? Kept them?
Am sure there will be more questions but those are the ones on my mind at the moment.
Thank you all in advance.

First I would ask for clarification, you said you would be coming out with your partner and your child. Since you did not call her your wife, I do not know if you are married.
SoI will start with this: Aramco only allows family status for married elopes and you will have to furnish your marriage certificate or whatever proof you receive when you get married in the UK. They do not recognize any other relationship between an man and a woman. People in this situation have had to get married to come as a family to Aramco.
There are many activities for families, men, women, and children. You will have plenty to do and can be over busy with activities if you allow yourself to be.
There are a couple of lists for self-directed groups in the Living in Aramco Communities Discussion Group. Definitely under living in Ras Tanura and living in Abqaiq. There will be activities like that in all the communities.
Are there any course women are allowed to do? Are you asking about courses to take and learn from? There are courses through Adult Education, the Art Group and other self directed groups like the Women's Group and the Quilting Group, etc.
If you are talking about a university type course, then no there is not, except online from a university that has online courses.
If you are asking about jobs, spouse jobs are limited, there are some spouses who work, but it is limited and takes time to get a job when available.
Aramco's DSL is fast enough people are able to use a broadband phone system, stream movies and other downloads. It is not the fastest, but not the slowest Internet. Someone else can probably give you the exact speed.
Hopefully someone from the UK can answer about their properties.
