Hi folks
This is a bit of a long shot but I'm looking to see if anyone on here would have an e-mail address for SADARA or know someone who did or even worked for them. I'm trying here as the SADARA project is a joint venture which includes Saudi Aramco.
I have been on their website and there are a number of jobs advertised that I am qualified to carry out. However, there is no mention of the remuneration and benefits package associated with working for them on the website. Would it be the same as working directly for SA, ie. living in a SA compound and access to the school, finanial package offered by SA? I don't want to start going through application process without knowing the full picture.
Hope someone can help out.
Many thanks
James

Hi James,
As you will know, Sadara is a brand new company with their site at Jubail still under construction. I would imagine that the terms & conditions are very similar to Aramco but I would think they would need to create their own compounds as time goes on. Some staff, mainly in the contract/law side transferred over from Aramco but not too many so far. Not many companies will tell you the full package before you apply so if it's something you really want to do, there is no reason not to apply. Until you actually arrive in Saudi, there's plenty of opportunity to pull out

Hi Buster
Thanks for your prompt response. I totally agree with you regarding compounds. With the sheer size of the complex being built, they are going to need a lot of workers especially expats. The complex will start production in 2016 which would be plenty of time to get compunds built.
I have managed to obtain a contact number for someone in SADARA recruitment so will hopefully get answers to my questions.
Like you say, it's probably best to apply for jobs and see what is offered regarding housing and schooling.
James
PS. I've also applied for several positions within SA and am waiting to see how they progress.

Aramco's new Public Relations website has links to other companies which in some way associated with Aramco (usually joint venture)
SASREF (Jubail) SAMREF (Yanbu) Petro Rabigh (Rabigh) SADARA (Jubail)
ans some others, which I can't quite remember.
Additionally, YASREF (Yanbu) is a new joint venture between Aramco & Sinopec. SABIC is another company here (not related) but is viewed highly for terms & conditions.
