o All,
I just want to thank you all for the wealth of information provided.
I had a question; Once you arrive at the airport..what exactly happens? I understand someone waits for you at the airport? but I have seen people talking about taking a taxi to their house once they arrive? The next day how do you go to work? is there buses from ALL compounds to ALL work locations? How do you commute when you dont have a car there?
Thanks!

Hi: You will be met by someone after you come through immigration -
you should get an email from relocation advisor about your arrival (airport pick-up arrangement, orientation day date, first day of work information) details.
If not - ask them to send you one and that information is very useful and important for person like us (new) pickup and drop point location etc.

There aren't buses from ALL compounds to ALL work locations (for instance, there are no buses from Dhahran to Jeddah) but in most cases, the company will put you in a compound that does have a bus to the majority of work locations in that area. Although sometimes you have to take two buses to arrive at your destination.
But at least in the last two departments I've worked for, they have always assigned someone to both meet the new arrivals at the airport and to get them to work on their first day.

Cleared background, waiting on medical. I will ask our relocation advisor but generally do you have a couple days once you land to sleep, etc before you must report for work.
