o everyone on this forum.. I have recently got an offer and am considering it. I will be living in Al-khobar and working in Dhahran. My wife is a software engineer and currently she she works as a web designer/developer. I just wanted to know how easy/difficult is it for spouses to find jobs in the aramco complex. Are there technical jobs that spouses can apply and get or they will have to work voluntary jobs..Can someone share their experience/knowledge on this subject..This will be very helpful.
Also my daughter turns 3 in september. Currently she goes to montessori school here in US. What options are available in KSA for her? Do they have pre-schools for 3 year old? day cares?
all your advices and suggestion will be greatly appreciated, as my decision relies heavily on these..

You say you will be living in Khobar - is that on the new DHA Rakkah compound or in the local community compound? Are you a direct hire with Aramco or a contractor hire?
If you are a direct hire: you wife can go see HR and see if there are any positions available to her. This is a hiring process and will take time, which will give her time to settle into the community and make connections.
If you are a contract hire, your wife will probably be unable to get a job with Aramco, but never hurts to apply.
Aramco in Rakkah compound will have a preK 3 program. Not available unless you live there.

It is VERY difficult for wives to get jobs even if they are very qualified. It has nothing to do with the company wanting to hire them but with getting the work visa from the Saudi government. You need to count on your wife not working and being okay with that. Then if she does manage to get a job great!

There is not a preK3 program in Dhahran through the school system, but there are private Pre schools in ladies' homes for 3 yr olds. These are found by word of mouth.
There is a PreK3 program in Rakkah and the other Aramco compounds.
