o,
First, thank you all for your sharing your experiences and advice. I hope I can "pay it forward" in the future.
It seems the timelines from the date of application to the reporting date generally range from 6 months to 1 year (with exceptions). I understand that process, thanks to all the great posts.
Here's my question:
I have about one year left with my current contract, and am debating if it's appropriate to apply now and state my earliest availability date (in 11 months)? Or should I just wait until after January?
My motivation to apply as soon as possible to ascertain if there is an interest, because recruiters from other companies are already calling, yet Saudi Aramco is my #1 choice.
Any insights would be most appreciated!

My humble opinion: Apply now, if you get an offer, let them know when you can be available. If they won't work with you, then you can turn it down and apply again later when available.

Thank you vpainter, much appreciated. I'm weighing your insights with the comments under the Notice Period thread and will wait a wee bit longer to apply.
I admit I feel a strong pull toward this position and want to give it every chance to work. Thankfully I only have an inflexible availability date vs. a lengthy notice period which is a logistical hurdle for others. Thank you again!

Just an update that waiting a "wee bit longer" backfired, as the vacancy that I had my eye on for many months was closed when I went back to apply. LOL
However, I'm pleased to report that a similar vacancy recently opened and I immediately applied online. So the journey (and wait) begins!
