My husband is from England, can he drive when he arrives in Dhahran or does he need to get any kind of special document?.

He can drive inside the camp on his UK driver's license, you did not say if he had one. He will get a Saudi Driver's license after he arrives.

How long it takes to get his Saudi driver´s license?.
I cannot wait to go to Dhahran!! I am reading lot of amazing things about it! I know I am not going to have as much freedom as I have in UK but I think is a very nice experience to live!.
I would like to learn arabic, actually I am learning right now but I need someone who can help me with the pronuntation, I love learning other languages and I would love to learn arabic, can I find someone in the compound who can teach me?.

In reality, it would seem not, since so many women drive inside the camp, who do not have licences. I have also never heard of an adult male being asked for a driving licence but Security does have a habit of asking younger drivers (especially those they take to be returning students) to produce a licence, if they stop them.
My daughter has been stopped and asked for a licence before now, while driving on camp. She had one, but I'm not sure what they would have done if she did not.
I have heard it said that you are supposed to have a licence to drive on camp but that seems to be a rule honoured as much in the breach as in the observance.

Teenagers who get caught driving without a license in DHA, get a ticket. Our son got a ticket for driving the golf cart prior to getting a license back in TX.
A man may get away with it, security really watches the teens.
