Hi, well... here is another new guy with same old questions  I just received my offer for Petroleum engineer I , grade 14. Can anyone say how many levels and salary grades are there above that for petroleum engineers? That would really help cause it is impossible to place yourself within company hierarchy without knowing that. And also - if you accept offered job location, can they change that in time and send you to for example Tanajib, so suddenly you have to travel and your family lives alone in Ras Tanura. ...or has this been answered somewhere already? Thanks anyway.

Every job within Aramco has a GC assigned to it. People with 20 years experience if they are in that job can be a GC 14. Family status is 11+

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure your Aramco contract states that you work for Aramco and can be moved around if required. For most employees, this is not common practice but it can happen depending on the company requirement and which department you work in. You can be sent out on assignment if your experience is required elsewhere but I believe this will on a semi-voluntary basis and less likely to affect those with families.
The other side of this is that you can apply for any other job in Aramco after 4 years in your current role

Yes they can ask you to relocate to Tanajib if the jobs requires it. My friend, who is a drilling engineer is a weekend husband. He was working in Dhahran and when the Manifa project was ramped up, he was told to move to the Tanajib camp. He comes back every weekend to see his family.
