Dear all,
Finally, the flight is booked and will be flying to KSA from France. But first, i would like to advise you that this forum was a huge great help.
And one thing new hired folks should learn is this simple word "PATIENCE".
I almost forgot during these months i was running into a recruiting process and i was living my life normally doing my daily stuffs.. sometimes almost forgot about this. And by the end of May 2013, things was moving so FAST .. that i myself told them to slow down a bit
when folks are saying that things are being processed in the background, trust them : They REALLY are working as expected. Between 2 stages (1 month or so duration), i was completely in the dark. I just send kind email to my RA. All i did then is waiting quite relaxed and easy going. And yep, I got my answers sometimes the same day .. sometimes 2 weeks later.
My advice : “Patience will achieve more than force"
I want to thank vpainter for the help and hints on some personal questions (comm was over emailing and not posted on this forum).
Here is my timeline.
- Contacted by Aramco by October 2012.
- Settled a Video Conference by Mid Dec 2012
- Accepted and made an offer by End of Dec 2012
- Sent payslip by 2nd Week of January 2013
- Received the UPS around mid Feb 2013
- Cleared BI/SAMSO during April 2013
- Medical done by May 2013
When the medical has been cleared, things moved so FAST. I even started to supply documents to VISA Agent. My relocation wanted me to move by end June .. WOOW. Cannot. I had to explain that i got 1 month legal notice and i had to travel with family before attending KSA. My annual holidays since i was freelancer and had to work for almost a year without interruption.
In the end, everything was settled down and they were understanding and i really thank the folks at Aramco UK and especially my relocation agent and my future supervisor who helped me to overcome some minor issues.
- Visa Issued by end of June 2013 (it took 4 days for KSA Embassy to Supply Visa. Very quick)
- Resigned last week July 2013
- Flight booked by Sept. 2013
3 learned lessons:

I'm really excited to move and start a new life in KSA. My family will join me next year. I'll be relocated in Abqaiq and will do IT cyber security exciting stuffs
ps : I have a question if someone has the some hobby. I'm doing Electronics (Open Arduino and hacking hardware stuffs) for home automation and controlling toys remotely. Is there any issue with this (customs or whatever) ?
