First I would like to thank all of you for all the information on this forum. My husband and I have been reading all your posts for months now and all of this information is priceless! We will be moving to the kingdom at the end of he month and we have a few questions I hope some of you may be able to answer.
1) We were thinking of bringing our refrigerator, but are worried it may not fit, not to mention the uncertainty of the 110/220v issue. Does anyone know the measurements in a 2 bedroom condo in the kitchen for the fridge? I believe we will be in the hills. Also is there a water line for an ice machine?
2) What is the water pressure like? We have bought a few designer shower heads and are concerned that they may not work well.
3) does the central air cool/heat sufficiently? Should we purchase an additional window unit?
4) do we need to bring a large outdoor trash can for pick ups?
5) what size beds come with rental furniture?
6) heard there were no closets, does the local Ikea have them to purchase?
Thanks in advance and am looking forward to meeting all of you:-)

1. Depends on the style of home you are assigned. Some have room for a 27 cu ft side by side and the Aramco refrigerator. Others only have room for one and people put one in the gae.
There are waterlines in some houses. Aramco no longer connects them, so you can hire a plumber and have it connected.
2. Depends on where you live on camp, water pressure is different all over camp.
3. Aramco A/C is sufficient.
4. Aramco provides a trash can. Call for one to be delivered after arrival.
5. Beds provided can be twin, double or queen.
6. Do not know where you heard there are no closets. All Aramco houses have closets.

Vpainter, Are the bed dimensions the same as in the U.S.? In other words, if we buy mattresses in DHA, will we be able to use the linens that we bring from the U.S.?

You can buy the U.S. size mattresses here, just be sure you know the dimensions in Centimeters. Then the sheets will fit.

Will the house we have been assigned come with a crib if we have a small child? If not, do we request from the furniture warehouse?

Let your relocation agent know you want a crib for your child. Yes, furniture warehouse has cribs. Should your house not have one, yes, call furniture warehouse and they will deliver one.
The phone number will be on your phone list left in your home for your arrival.

I was wondering, what the deal is with medications? I understand any prescriptions have to be carried on your person with a note from prescribing doctor. However,What about over-the-counter medications do those require a doctors note as well? Or can we just put those in our surface shipment or are E box? Is it true batteries are a no-no or can we put these in our E box along with spices which we were told we cannot bring either. Stuffed animals? We keep getting conflicting information. Thanks again y'all! Kristi

When we came, those things that were stated in the relocation guide - the over the counter meds, stuffed animals, etc. we brought in our checked luggage. Your luggage arriving with you goes through custom's with you. Your shipment goes through custom's by itself.
We've had no problems bringing those things in with us.

Hi All,
I had a question about the les for GC 11-14 do the I ....IV that follow the tle indicate seniority? Meaning is I more senior than II for example or is it vice versa?
Thanks.

It depends what you mean by "seniority." In terms of GC, I is a higher GC than II, which in turn is higher than III etc. There is an item in the FAQ about Engineering grade codes (specifically referring to the PE area) that addresses this, albeit in a slightly indirect manner. /thread/123017
