New to this great forum ... US Citizen with an offer. Do I need to get my marriage certificate & dependents birth certificate attested from the Saudi Embassy for the Visa? Also, Dhahran housing is mentioned in my offer with single status.

Talk to your relocation advisor. It is part of the boarding process to advise the candidate on what paper work is needed. Requirements change; the advisor will point out the latest.

If your offer is single status, your family will not be coming with you. No need to do anything about their birth certificates or marriage certificate.
If you think you have family status you will need to talk to your recruiter.
Regardless these do not need to be attested. Birth certificates and marriage license are register with the state and have seals or filing dates on them.
