Dear All,
I have a doubt about declaring my religion.
I remember I did answer that I had no religion at all in my BI form, there where a multiple choice question if I am not wrong on it.
but after talking with people that is already living in Saudi they strongly advised me that is much better to declare yourself as Catholic instead having a non beliefe answer.
is it true that Saudis do not respect a person wihout declared religion? and they do respect Catholic people?
After some research I found that if they see you as non religious person they will try to push you to Muslim, and I really would not enjoy it!
So, if a declare myself as Cath I would be safe on this terms.

My understanding is that a individual with no religion may be denied a visa. I declared myself Catholic as well.

Really ?? but at what time should I state about religion?
if it it done at BI form time and I cannot change it to Cath so probably my adventure in middle east will game over just before a real start!!!
if it is done up Visa form time I still have chance, by the way, is there a Visa specific form or the BI form will serve as Visa form?
I did contact my BI Auditor already asking if I can change from no religion to a catholic, I really said I have no religion after reading that some Cath people has had been in trouble a lot of times due to their belief, so I thought a no religion person would not have any problem!!!

The solution I used is to have my religion declared as "Christian". That is sufficient for them and avoids going to any specific faith. The two things to avoid here are being an atheist or the faith followed by the other braham ..

try 'none-Muslim'. religion is personal. the saudi authorities are reasonable people. none-muslim is accepted and even used in some saudi forms.

ok, thanks a lot abour the answer guys!
but please let me know, is this religion declaration field located on the BI form and will the BI form be used by Aramco to apply for my Visa or will I receive another specific Visa form after get the Aramco clearance where I will have to declare that? I know they apply for my Visa only after BI and medical clearance.
If I am not wrong I believe I declared on my BI that I followed no religion. thats my concern and I asked for the auditor if I can change it.
Thats a strange thing for me, at a glance I thought that being a non religious person in a country where religion rules would be less proning to fail than the being a religion follower! who understands that!

There is a visa form and you will answer that question on it.
SayRT, did you mean non-Muslim?

the iqama just says non-muslim. You're either muslim or non-muslim here.
