I will be arriving on the 30th as well. I am planning on being in RT, but that seems a little up in the air based on recent posts. Your timeline was smokin' fast once it got rolling, congratulations on that. Maybe we will run into each other at the airport. I am due to arrive at 2210 from Frankfurt.

Hi,
I am new to this, i have recently been offered employment by Saudi Aramco, received news last night, my visa"s been approved. I am South African, i have never been to Saudi before. My expected date of employment is between 01 and 08 July 2013, however,I have not received any further details, regarding my travel etc, but was advised i should receive it by Friday 28/06/2013. I will be working at the Khurais project. So if there is anybody in this forum that knows much about the Khurais project and the living quarters etc, please advise further. I am currently on a single status, on a 12mnth contract, so my family will remain in SA. Please could some one assist wrt what to expect, whre is the Khurais project camp, what facilities are there and some pics if possible? thnx

Kindly advise if men are allowed to wear short sleeved shirts and shorts in the Kingdom, as i understand it is mid summer there? Please advise, thank you.

Yes we got our visas then had an agonising couples of weeks waiting for the go ahead that we passed all clearances!!!!

brooks, on camp you can and do wear short sleeves and shorts. Men do not wear shorts to work, but do wear short sleeve shirts. Have rarely seen a man or two wearing shorts in the local communities, most wear long pants when out and about off camp. Yes they do wear short sleeve shirts in the local communities.
