Hi everyone! I am so glad I found this blog. I just got a job offer as Sr Staff Nurse and am needing some information about my moving there. What is the usual processing time from offer to actually leaving to Saudi? How are other opportunities there as far as advancements in career once you are in the company. I am teetering on the fence of doing the Saudi thing or going back to school to get my Masters. I just need some feedback so I can put my pros and cons together. Thank you for reading this and I hope to get some good feedback.

Congratulations on your offer.
Please do a search on the forum for "timeline" you can read about many new hires' timeline from start to arrival that have been posted on the forum.
Expats do not just move up or have advancement in Aramco. You can apply for jobs that come available once you are here.
Aramco does have a Reimbursement program for furthering your education, it is by approval of your department head and is reimbursed after the courses are complete and additional paperwork turned in. (Approval, does not mean guaranteed)

Thank you so much for your response. I just went through orientation and visa medical screening this past week in Houston and also just got done reading the relocation guide and it brought up a lot of questions as well as anxieties.
I am a single 30 year old female and wanted to know if there are are other single or young females that I would be be to connect with. I am an avid reader (will my books get conviscated or is it safer to bring an e-reader)? I also had a question about travel. How long after you arrive in Saudi and begin work are you able to go back home or at least travel out of the country? After the orientation, they said that there was a possibilty of leaving out by Oct 1st. Is it the norm that the offer time and departure time is so hurried? And do they offer any financial assistance prior to leaving for Saudi to cover moving expenses?
Thank you for answering my last post. I am looking forward to hearing from you soon!
