I am experiencing delays in Visa processing. I also read repeatedly on this forum about such delays. I am thinking that if we dedicate a post on topic, we can 1)share info in a dedicated post, 2)compare notes, 3)hopefully ease one another minds about the process and the completion of Visa; and maybe 4)realign our expectations and plan ahead to possible changes in the anticipated departure date.
I will start with my own. I am told by Houston that the Visa approval process from the Saudi Consulate will take weeks rather than days (as advised earlier). This impacted my departure date; I am no longer able to leave prior to Ramadan as intended.
Also, the Hajj season is also around the corner. This will only cause further delays at the consulate to process thousands and thousands of Visa applicants.
Please list:
- anticipated departure date
- Visa application duration: Start Date - Completion
- Actual departure date

- July 9th
- June 15th -
- (likely to change to July 30th)
