Hi we will we travelling a LOT SOONER than expected so if I get time I will be asking a few questions amongst the panic!!
I notice that panda stores sell Budweiser non alcoholic beer, I have a mini fridge with Budweiser logo on it so was hoping to ship it as it would be extra cold space or water, juice, cola etc, will the brand logo be a problem?
Travelling with a kindle / iPad - obv I need to review the content and delete anything inappropriate but is there any hassle travelling with these, do you have to get them checked at customs, does it delay you?
I have read a lot of contradicting information on medicines / vitamins etc Is there a pharmacy where you can buy things like over the counter pain relief, vitamins etc? If you travel with such items that we all keep in our medicine cabinets at home is it ok or may they get confiscated or are they prohibited ?
We are a family arriving in ABQ within two weeks so feel free to PM or reply with any general info / Help as it would be greatly appreciated
Thanks and see you soon!

I cannot see any issues with you bringing the fridge, as you say, it is a widely known brand here. Regarding the kindle/ipad, we have never had anyone show the slightest bit of interest when entering the country and I have never actually met anyone who have told me that they have had them checked.
Local pharmacies certainly sell a lot more medication over the counter than you would ever see back in the UK. A lot of the brand names may be different than you are used to but its easy to find equivalants

I remember those worries - new laptop, limited photos, which books/DVDs etc - all totally unfounded. Half the books I left behind could be found in the Dhahran library!! You can download from Amazon, iTunes etc when you're here with no restrictions. There's Virgin megastores, Jarrir bookstores, OSN is a common TV package out here. So unless you have anything really dodgy, then everything else should be ok. All the beer brands are here - Holsten, Bud, Efes etc (not the proper stuff unfortunately  ) I've been in and out of Saudi so many times now with absolutely no issues. I think the main thing they look for (suitcases through the xray machines) is for alcohol. I've even brought food products back - no issues. You'll find pharmacies every where in Saudi - to be honest, there's not much that you can't get here. Don't worry, have a safe trip & welcome to Aramco

We have had our son's CD's checked in the airport by custom's. He was allowed to keep all his CD's but another man in the custom's office was not so lucky and they confiscated several of his CD's. Have no idea what was on them. I know a man who had a book confiscated coming over the causeway from Bahrain because of the pictures of art in it.
Please understand. The Aramco Relocation guide tells you what could be confiscated. Anything listed in there if a custom's agent wanted to do so, could take them. We are blessed, that it does not happen most of the time. I always say, do not bring anything that you would be devastated if it were taken. More than likely it will not be, but there are no guarantees that it wouldn't be. If coming in prior to, during, or shortly after Ramadan, customs becomes a lot more diligent regarding things coming into the kingdom. It is their month during this time.
