I have received an offer from Aramco in the Supply Chain group and am planning on accepting as it looks like it would be a lot of fun and would be a great career move. With that said, I am a bit concerned about the probationary period. I have seen lots of posts that are to be truthful all over the place.
I am certainly confident of my abilities and confident that I will succeed. However, I am a bit curious to see all of the posts regarding the probation. Before I accept, I wanted to see if anyone had any general input about this 90 days. As, quiting a great job I currently have, Turning down another in Houston and moving my family accross the globe is to say the least a Risk.
All input or thoughts are greatly appreciated.

If you are concerned about the probationary period, and you do accept the job offer from Aramco, leave the family at home for the 90 days, then bring them over. You will have the compound and surrounding areas all figured out by then, and it will make it a smoother transistion for your family. One suggestion.

You precaution is right on. Saudi Aramco is a wonderful employer. Your offer is a great opportunity. I would get a precise job description of your future role. Be sure you are not in over your head. And most importantly be proactive about your day to day work.
Again, a reputable employer like Saudi Aramco won't get way out of its way to bring you aboard and not help you be successful. Rest assured and start off the right foot!
