Hi

We will be travelling to ABQ soon so will prob be puting a few posts on & looking forward to hopefully meeting some of you!

I have read a lot of different advice on shipment so would like to throw out a couple of basic questions.

Taking Dec. decorations in 3 catergories ,

, Santa Claus & Cuddly Snowmen are all three treated the same by customs?

Likewise can we ship our Halloween decorations & costumes? are ghosts & ghouls ok but leave anything related to the guy with horns or do we not ship any of it?

Toys - should we avoid packing some of our daughter toys such as Ham from Toy Story & Peppa Pig and a Money Box /Piggy Bank?

I dont think anyone can say 100% what customs will do.

That being said, we were able to ship our Dec. items without any problem. From what Ive been told they tend to be more lenient with Aramco shipments (such as with the new 220V appliance rule).

Ive heard horror stories of people having their stuff taken (supposedly some poor guy from DH had 3 trees taken. He bought 1, had it taken, so went and bought another, had it taken, etc). But most people I know didnt have many problems.

Also my daughter used to love Peppa pig and again, we have brought plenty of those toys.

Please be aware this forum is watched by KSA. You can not post about some things in a public forum.

Just understand things listed in the relocation guide are subject to confiscation especially before, during and after Ramadan. Customs becomes more vigilant during their month.

Do not bring anything that you could not live with it being confiscated.
