Well, things change all the time here. Since December, excess baggage has been reimbursed and not reimbursed. So if you bring it, keep your receipts and submit it as a moving expense. You may get reimbursed, you may not.

Apparently the extra month of base salary compensates for that. Worth every dime as it appears the eBox may not be here for us for another 2 weeks.
when we asked our relocating assistant if ARAMCO handles cost of excess luggage, this is the response we got. My husband's on the Canadian payroll. *********************************************************************************************** Re: Packing up your house by gbhatia » Thu Apr 04, 2013 5:56 am We're on the Canadian Payroll and were told the same thing by our relocation advisor (ie no reimbursement). However, we did see that if paid in advance & online via KLM's website, the cost for excess baggage was only $160 per piece. We will probably pay for a couple of extra "bags" (dishbarrels) ahead of time.

Yes they do for UK/Euro payroll at least. The amount depends on your status, ask and you should be told before you travel. ********************************************************************************************** Re: Packing up your house by almostcheerful » Sun Dec 09, 2012 6:23 pm
excess baggage is paid, at least they paid mine one extra baggage. I think it depends who you are orientated with? ************************************************************************************************

CP,
Congratulation on your arrival! Hope all has gone well so far and will continue to.
I can imagine how hectic things are at the moment for you and your family. When you get a few minutes, can you tell us about your experience arriving at the camp? Housing. Paper work. Transportation. First day at work. Etc.
Thanks. SayRT.
