In October of last year, I applied for a job with Saudi Aramco. Since then, my wife, my 16-year-old daughter, and I have used this forum as the source for all the information that we need for a smooth transition from the US to KSA. We learned a lot from this forum; in fact, it feels like we are already there mentally, even though we will arrive June 7th. According to our offer, we will be staying in the Dhahran camp but you never know. We learned a lot, particularly from Hadia, Umm Riyam, and vpainter. My daughter will be a senior in DHS this year. For the past 3 years she has been taking French in high school and she is looking for French-speaking families with whom to improve her skills. This will be her test of what she learned In the US we use our mosque, walking trail, pool, and library a lot. Thanks to this forum we know that all of these are available there. We hope to see you around in DH--or whichever camp they assign us...
