Hi to everybody in the forum and congratulations for doing a great work in keeping the community alive!
I am writting since I have accepted an offer to the Corporate Planning department and I am now in my visa clearance process.
I would like to connect with other colleagues in the Corporate Planning department and get an idea of the structure, work etc. It definetely must be an exciting place to be!
Another of my the questions has to do with the position. In the offer letter it was written "Planning & Programms yst III" in the Global economic and energy ysis (this was not a position that I applied but instead the dpt. was recruiting for various positions).
So I asked my advisor for the description and responsibilities of my role and gave me one but of another department which look honestly irrelevant with my background (looked more suitable to accountant/control specialist). I pointed out this and asked for clarificiations and then they have sent me another description.Then again the le was different ("Downstream Specialist") but the advisor said to me that she got that from my department.
The above honestly left me a bit confused and naturally I did not expect such a confusion so I thought the best thing would be to request from my advisor to put me in direct contact (email or call ) with my future supervisor in order to undestand better the nature of the work and ny duties.
I just would like to hear from others in the forum if the same has happened to them and ideally here from any future colleagues in the department of their experiences and news.
