First off, I understand that everyones situation is different, however, I am looking for some general guidance here only.
I interviewed with the Materials Management group on Tuesday and was told I would be receiving an offer by my recruiter. The timeline she said would likely be approx 3 weeks. Normally, this would not be an issue, however, my situation is a bit unique in the sense that I have a current position with a company that is being merged with another and will be out of a job in about 4-8 weeks depending on the timeing of the SEC. Also, I have received a very nice offer from another company that will require me to move to Houston from Denver where I currently reside.
I want the position with Aramco but I just do not have a ton of information to go on other than the le I interviewed for. I also do not intend on accepting the other position and then quiting when the "process" is complete.
Knowing the back ground, I guess I am looking for some idea of what the typical salary would be for the position I interviewed for and what a resonable time frame would be from the time of the verbal that i received on Tuesday.
The position I interviewed for was Project Procurement Representative. I have asked my recruiter these questions and she said that until she has the "in writing" offer she really can not discuss salary and next steps. With that said, she insisted that I definitely would be receiving an firm and solid offer based on my current salary.
Again, thanks for any and all adivice on this as I can not put off the other offer for much longer.

Im not sure if anyone will reveal salaries on here but you could easily be looking at 6 months from receiving an offer from Aramco and actually being in a position to hand notice into employers. Also, you have to have medical screening and background checks that could terminate the offer at any time.

I don't htink that you will get salary information on this forum. At the same time I guess you can consider payslips that you submitted to Aramco as a bench mark for your new Aramco role (Add other benefits that you can find information on these forums and you will have a ballpark figure). If I'm wearing your shoes, I wouldn't ignore job in Houston. Aramco's process can take little bit longer time then normal and having a job will provide some piece of mind. You will have to consider any relocation aspect in this situation as most employer's want their relo (or signon bonus) back if you leave them earlier then a year. Good luck... I'm sure things will work out well for you.

You seem to be looking for a straight advise, not a general one. Here it is:
Take the offer from the Houston company. It will be your safety net and plan B. Procceed with Aramco's hiring process as well, which can take 4 months, up to 12-15 months, or somewhere in between. Plan your exit strategy from your Houston employer. Execute only when Aramco's offer is final and all contingencies are met.
This is based on the assumption that employment at Aramco tops your priorities and inconvenience from moving twice in less than a year is a non-issue.
Good luck!

Hi sarayborn1,
I was also interviewed for a Materials Supply position on Friday May 31st but I did not get the feedback that would be receiving a firm offer as I didn't see my recruiter after the interview. Did she ask you to submit your most recent paystubs?
I would also take the Houston offer in the meantime as Aramco may take a bit of time.
Best of luck and please keep in touch.

Take the Houston job. You never change your life where you are until all contingencies are cleared. Continue with the Aramco process if you want to.
