Dear all, I'm a bit confused by the below statement. can you please let me know in which currency I'll be paid if I'm not a british national, but do have point of origin in the UK ? does it mean that I need to be UK national and have point of origin in the UK, or one single condition should be sufficient ? (having a UK Point of Origin) to be aid in GBP ?
Currency of Payment. EMPLOYEE’s of UK nationality and point of origin: earnings are payable in Pounds Sterling except that for convenience EMPLOYEE may elect each monthly payment, in whole or in part, in Saudi Riyals in which event the exchange rate shall be COMPANY's official exchange rate as of the first day of the month of the pay period. EMPLOYEE’S of non-UK nationality and point of origin: EMPLOYEE’S earnings are calculated in Pounds Sterling and are payable entirely in Saudi Riyals with a protected exchange rate, as applicable. The protected exchange rate is established at the time of hire. Under exchange rate protection, base salary and the annual Benefits Supplement are converted at the COMPANY official exchange rate (as of the first day of the month of the pay period) or at the EMPLOYEE’S protected rate, Sterling Payroll Attachment A (Feb. 2012) Page 3 of 10 whichever is higher. All other monthly earnings components are converted at the COMPANY official exchange rate.

It is my understanding that only employees with both a non-UK point of origin and nationality (Australians, South Africans etc) on the Sterling payroll are paid in Saudi Riyals with the exchange rate protection option. I believe somebody in your situation should be paid in Pounds Sterling. The exchange rate protection scheme would not be applicable since Sterling is your "home" currency.
But as always, check with your recruiter to be sure.
