Hi, I have been reoffered a position at the new King Abdul Aziz centre for culture and lifelong learning.
I am very keen to take the role for the experience it offers working and living in another country so different to what I currently know.
The only issue is my wife's concerns around what she will do with her time whilst I'm in work my children are in School. She is naturally also concerned about the standard of education and how this would align with my two sons current learning.
Can anyone shed some light on what the wives do whilst the children (and husbands) are out of the house?

Wives have all kinds of activities to be involved in. There is a Women's Group which has weekly coffee/meetings and other events. There are exercise groups, sports groups, quilting groups, art groups, exercise gyms, swimming pool, activities at school with the kids, and of course the many social gatherings at people's homes. She will be as busy as she wants to be as she gets involved with all the activities that she's interested in. There will be classes she can take if she would like to learn something new. Or teach a class if she has something she would like to teach. There are craft shows if she's a crafter and wants to make and sell her crafts.
To list a few.

Hi there,
We are currently at the offer stage and are looking at all aspects. Having lived before in Saudi we are aware of the way of living.
Our concern is the accomodation in ABQ being far from DH. Our kids have always had British education and using the SAS would be a total change to the US curriculum system. Also the work trip to DH from ABQ seems demanding.
What is the real situation on the ground so to speak? For schooling in DH but kids travelling from ABQ is the bus reliable and safe or is a driver/car setup better? For work is it worth relying on the buses or better to drive and what are the actual times for travel?
