o everyone,
I appreciate all the posts and information provided by the users of this forum. It has been extremely informative and helpful.
I have a few questions about my recent job offer/contract (which I've accepted) and move to the KSA (tentatively scheduled for the 1st week of July).
I was hired by Al Jehat Company (JATCO), a recruiter, to teach Advanced English for Aramco in Ras Tanura.
My contract is for Single status, my Grade Code is 11. However, I have a wife and 6 month old daughter.
I was assured by a recruiter from JATCO that once I applied for and received my Iqama, I could send for my family. They said this would take 2-4 weeks. I am currently preparing all the necessary paperwork for the family residency visa to minimize the time it takes to get my wife and daughter to the KSA.
No housing has been offered. I have been given an "overhead commission" of 65% of my base salary, to be used for housing, etc. The JATCO HR consultant I've been corresponding has told me that once my visa is approved and passport stamped, they will begin the housing process and plane ticket purchase.
My questions are:
1) How do my Single status and Grade Code 11 affect my housing? I have read that GCs 1 - 10 are considered eligible for bachelor housing, and GCs 11+ are considered eligible for family housing. I am therefore confused by these apparent contradictions.
2) My job location is listed as "ITD-NAITD - Ras Tanura." What does ITS-NAITD mean? And does this mean that I will live in the Ras Tanura Aramco compound?
Any other comments regarding the information I've provided would also be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your help.

You will not be given housing inside the Aramco compound since you're not an Aramco employee. The only exceptions to that rule that I know of are some families working for Schlumberger and I think maybe Halliburton, and I don't know if Aramco leases out some of their housing in RT or not...but, this is in UDH.

Unless I miss my guess, ITD-NAITD probably means "Industrial Training Dept - Northern Area Industrial Training Dept" and since it is your job location, it does not determine your residence location.
It is an over-simplification to say that GC 3-10 get single status and 11+ get family status. You can find GC 11- people with family status and 11+ employees on single status.
Finally though, these guidelines only apply to Saudi Aramco employees and as UmmRiyam points out, it does not appear that you are being hired by the company directly. Assuming you are a contractor employee (as it would appear) then as she says, you would not be eligible for Aramco housing.
