Hi everyone, A couple of weeks ago we finally accepted the offer and hopefully by October we'll be in KSA! I will work in the Corporate Planning dept as Program yst living in Abqaiq.
On this regard, a couple of questions (maybe more): 1-how many Italians are in Dharhan HQ? 2-how long will it take to my wife to join me in KSA? Will it be possible for me during probation period to meet her in Barhain? 3-do you have the most recent schedule for ABQ to DHA buses? I tried to negotiate for a long time some additional benefits for my commuting with HR with mixed fortune! 4-any specific advise related to life in ABQ?
Thanks for your time and be ready for a fresh taste of Italian cousine at Valentina and Matteo's!

1. I do not know.
2. Some must wait until their probation period. Once you have your resident visa you can go to Bahrain. Your wife would need a visa for Bahrain. Some Aramcons get Bahrain visas, just so they don't run into problems. GCC resident visa holders shouldn't need them.
3. A Bus schedule will be in your home.
4. I will email you contacts for ABQ, feel free to email them for information.

Ciao FromItalyToKSA!
As you can probably tell, I am Italian too and, provided everything goes well with BI and medical, I will be relocating to Abqaiq in late August/early September. My wife and 4yo son will join me later on.
It would be good to keep in touch and maybe we can get to spend some time together in ABQ.
Good luck with everything!
A presto
Salvatore

Your PM privileges will come into effect when you've finished the approval process on the forum (your posts will no longer need approval).
It is ok to post your own email address. It is not ok to post someone else's name, email, phone numbers, etc in the public forum without their permission and you need to state you have their permission when doing so. No Aramco office numbers may be posted in the public forum or names of managers, supervisors or co-workers without their permission.

Can you pls elaborate what additional benefits you were able to negotiate with HR for the daily AQ-DH work commute? I was told that only family status staff with permanent housing in AQ and work location in DH are eligible to receive a commuter allowance. I believe the amount is equal to 1h pay per day. Unfortunately, as per current policy, temporary commuters are excluded from this policy.

bfish,
I managed to receive a slight increase of my salary, that's all. And I'm eligible to receive on top of that a commuter allowance since I was moved from temporary to permanent housing in ABQ, but this is just because HR forgot to give me family status in the first version of the offer.
I hope this will help you.

Hi to everybody, I am italian too and currently Aramco is processing Visa (thru the Saudi embassy in Rome). I hope everything will be ready within June. In any case, currently I am trying to collect much info as I can, especially relevant to the taxes that I should pay in Italy. For this reason, I will aprecciate if someone (especially Italians) can give me more info. In addition since I will be based in ABQ but I will work in DH, I will be very happy if someone can give me info regarding the living conditions and or other suggestion. My private mail is: tonio1818@libero.itGrazie
