Additive for washing clothes

o everyone! We've heard that the water in KSA can be very hard on clothes in the washing machine. We also thought we heard of something people are adding to the machine to help with this issue. We just never heard what this actually is. We're leaving in a few weeks and we thought we'd through some of this in bulk in our surface shipment.
